Construction of new dignity facility rooms in existing maternity ward at University Hospital Galway for Saolta University Health Care Group. University Hospital Galway is the main acute hospital in Galway. It is located at Newcastle Rd, Galway.
The works took place in an operational acute hospital which continued to operate for the duration of the construction works. Detailed planning and coordination with the client was required to ensure that the safe and efficient operation of the hospital was maintained on a 24 hour basis.
'Seomra Ciúin' was the first in-patient bereavement room to be opened in the country.
Reconfiguration and fit-out works in pharmaceutical facility. Works included the demolition of existing walls and ceilings to facilitate the new layout. New walls and ceilings were constructed in the new reconfigured layout. Fit-out works were completed including new resin floor, bioclad walls and specialist Armstrong ceiling with all works to required cleanroom standards as works were undertaking in the pharmaceutical processing rooms. Works were required to be completed in a very short timeframe and to minimise any disruptions.
Kesel Construction were engaged for all construction works associated with the logistics site set up., these works included civil engineering works associated with accommodation foundations, roads, car parks, drainage and services, and perimeter fencing
Kesel provided a full design and build service for the foundations to the accommodation buildings with a total floor areas 50,000 sqft

Complete renovation of the CIC room within an existing operational dental clinic. The project involved removal of existing fixtures and fittings and the supply and fitting of new trespa cabinetry including doors, counter top, splashbacks and hygienic stand. Electrical and mechanical installation to necessary medical standards. It was required to erect temporary dust screening for the duration of the works to protect operational areas of the building. There was also a strict programme time on the project.
